Subject: The courtesan Ichikawa of Matsubaya is writing a letter while her kamuro is grinding the ink stick.
Signature: Sekijo hitsu
Date: ca. 1800
Size: Hashira-e, 59,5x10,3 cm.
Conditions: Good impression, colour partly faded, two sheets with extra white paper on the margin. 
Remarks: Juka Sekijo is a rare artist follower of Toriyama Sekien influenced in his few prints by Utamaro.
