Subject: The kabuki actor Ichikawa Danjuro VII seated in a room. In the background a folding screen, decorate with the moon and a plum tree, encloses a stack of futons. Danjuro is holding a pipe, beside him a sword, a tobacco pouch and a smoking set. The moon on the screen is lightly embossed while other details are printed with silver and bronze pigments.
Signature: Kuniyasu hitsu and toshidama seal. Poem signed Zankatei Hananaishi.
