Remarks: On the occasion of the 200th birth anniversary of the Chikamatsu Monzaemon the series of his theatre works were published in 15 volumes from 1922 to 1925. A supplement including 16 woodblock prints by different artists illustrating scenes from various plays was published simultaneously. This design by Tsunetomi is the best in the set.
