Two kabuki with three geisha at Umemoto Teahouse. On the right Iwai Kunmesaburo II (?) is holding a cup. On the left Onoe Kikugorō III (Otowaya) is standing dressed with an elaborate overcoat. In the background two storage boxes for the samisen.

Ōjū Kunisada ga. Poems by Ryūfūtei Shirube no Hanagake and another poet.

Medium:
Woodblock color print with metal pigments.
Remarks:
A rare complete diptych. Another impression of the left sheet only is in the Fitzwilliam Museum, Cambridge, no. P.496-1937. Apparently no other complete diptych are in the main museums' collections.
Conditions:
Very good impression and color, good condition.
