Subject: Poets and pilgrims on the road to Ise shrine.
Description: A rare surimono made in collaboration by two leading artists of their time. On the right Santo Kyōden, famous writer and illustrator, also known as Kitao Masanobu, signed the image of the two samisen players under a hut, while on the left Shunman depicts the other figures.

Remarks: According Daniel McKee this is an important surimono with poems by twenty-two poets, many of them major figures in the kyōka world.
